Play for
Volatility
We recruit for both rosters through the Discord. No forms to fill in, no fee, no gimmicks. Show up prepared and play.
How it works
- Join the Discord
Pick "Play for Volatility" when you arrive. That opens the tryouts channel.
- Post your card
In-game name, server, current and peak rank, main roles, three champions per role, city, and the evenings you can scrim. One message is enough.
- Scrim with us
If a spot fits, the coach puts you into Academy scrims first. We're watching comms and attitude as much as mechanics.
- Earn the spot
Play well across a block of scrims and you're in. The Academy is a real route to the main roster, not a waiting room.
What we look for
Rank gets you
a look. The rest
gets you in.
- Main roster: Diamond and above on a current account, with recent ranked history.
- Academy: Platinum and above, and the will to be coached.
- Availability: most weekday evenings SAST and official match days. We practise at night.
- Comms: clear, calm, English in game. No flaming anyone, ever.
- Based in South Africa or on SA ping. Our players are in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
- Any role. We keep a list and reach out when a spot opens, so post even if nothing is open today.
Staff roles
We also hear from analysts, editors and stream producers who want to build something in SA esports. Same place: the Discord, or [email protected].
