Built in
South Africa
A player-run League of Legends organisation that would rather lose a hard series and learn from it than win an easy one and learn nothing.
Started small.
Still building.
Volatility Esports was founded in 2025 by the people who play for it. What has not changed is why we play: we want to win, and we are willing to do the boring work that winning takes.
Today we field two rosters. Volatility is our main team and competes among the top sides in the country. Volatility Academy is where newer players get scrims, feedback and a real route to the main roster. Both teams wear the same badge and are held to the same standard.
Our players are spread across Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, and fit the game around work and studies. We practise at night, review afterwards, and nobody is too good to be told what they did wrong.
South African esports is still being built, and we want to help build it properly: playing every league we can, showing up at LANs, and being a team people are glad to have in the scene.
The winged V. Red on white, nothing else. Wings for the pace we play at, the V for what we're there to do. Use it as-is from the brand kit.
What we've
earned so far
A short list, on purpose. It only gets longer when we win something.

Five things
we hold to
Work first
We put the hours in before we ask for anything.
No egos
The call belongs to the team, not to one player.
Never out of the game
Every match is played to the last nexus hit.
Respect
For opponents, admins and everyone in our community.
Grow together
The Academy exists so the next player has somewhere serious to start.
